Qaouk: Hizbullah Affirms Loyalty to Iran, First Supporter to Our People

Hizbullah Official in South Lebanon Sheikh Nabil Qaouk received in Al Khiam detention camp, a delegation of the Assembly of Proximity of Islamic Sects in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Head of Imam Sadeq association Sheikh Hassan Baghdadi accompanied the delegation, and delivered a speech pointing out the important role Jabal Amel clergymen play in resisting the oppressive powers, through Islamic unity.
On his part, Sheikh Qaouk pointed out that, "Western fears of a military war with Iran led them (the West) to impose sanctions in the Security Council".
"If America, "Israel", and the entire West could engage in an easy war with Iran, they wouldn't have delayed it; but they are covering up their military weakness with international resolutions and sanctions," he added.
Sheikh Qaouk assured that, "these sanctions could never discourage Iran," indicating that, "the West is trying to split Iran from the resisting countries in the region."
He added that America's role in the region is deteriorating, while Iran's role is progressing, and the sanctions reveal this failure as they will not change any strategic path in the region.
Commenting on the Lebanese abstention from voting against sanctions on Iran, Sheikh Qaouk said, "America is not concerned with the Lebanese government's ineffective stances, but it is concerned with Hizbullah and the resistance's stances as it will always be loyal to Iran that stood by Lebanon in its worst conditions."
"Iran was the first supporter to the Lebanese people after the 2006 aggression, it was the first supporter to the resistance in 1982, and it paid high prices for its support to the Palestinian cause," he added.
Stressing on Hizbullah's supportive stances, he said, "Hizbullah will be loyal to all those loyal to the resistance, whether American likes it or not, because Hizbullah does not have the complex of pleasing America."
