In the inauguration ceremony of the development project of a steel complex, Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, said that western and US efforts made to impose sanctions on its nuclear program were attempts to save themselves from the end they approach.

Ahmadinejad stressed in this context, that those sanction would not at all affect the Iranians, confirming that they would defend their country whenever they notice a threat to their dignity, identity and values.

In his course of analysis, Ahmadinejad said that the western decisions came because they knew that the Iranian efforts worked on would definitely lead to demolishing oppressive and aggressive government and powers of the world.

"The West and US were focusing on Iran's nuclear achievements as an excuse to cover up their impatience with the growing dominance of the Iranian culture and civilization in the world", Iranian President said.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed that his country will not consider the sanctions are a failure, but would rather continue its path in progress in all its fields, nuclear or not.

The US has been working hard to impose sanction against the Iranian nuclear program, and indeed it has, although Iran is a signatory of the Nuclear Non=Proliferation Treaty (NPT), plus its nuclear program is peaceful and under the supervision of the UN nuclear watchdog.
