The Islamic Republic of Iran received the death of the great Islamic Marja Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah with sorrow. Iranian Political leaders and religious scholars sent condolence letters to the Lebanese people, the Islamic nation, and Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah's family for their big loss.

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmedinejad sent mourning letters to the Lebanese president Michel Suleiman and the departed's family consoling them on this occasion, emphasizing on Sayyed Fadlallah's major role in enhancing the Lebanese national unity and supporting the resistance.

He added that this loss will cause a void in the religious schools (Hawzah).

Ahmedinejad lamented the leader of age and time, head of the Islamic Republic, Religious scholars, the Islamic nation, and the Lebanese "revolutionary" people, asking God's Bless to be upon the departed's soul, and praying for his honorable family's patience.

In a statement he released, Chairman of the Expediency Discernment Council of Iran Sheikh Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said, "Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah was an ideal fit to the saying (Hadith) that says, "The death of a religious scholar causes such a void in Islam that nothing can fill up."

"Sayyed Fadlallah came from a prestigious religious family, where he was raised to defend Islam. That is why he worked with his country's Jihadist movements in confronting Zionism," he added.

Rafsanjani proceeded that the great deceased was an ideal struggler scholar, and the number of assassination attempts he faced for his path are the biggest honor.

In conclusion, Rafsanjani consoled with Sayyed Fadlallah's family, scholars, and the struggling resistance, asking God mercy to be upon him, and praying for his family and the loved ones' patience and consolation.

Speaker of the Parliament Ali Larijani issued a statement consoling the struggler scholar's death, emphasizing that he has spent his blessed life in favor of Islam and the Lebanese people.

He considered that the deceased used to observe the situations with a critical view and bright mind, and while enlightening Muslims at the right times he used to build an obstacle for the enemy.

Head of Iran's Judiciary Sadegh Larijani also released a statement consoling with the Lebanese Muslim people for losing this religious struggler scholar.

On its part, the association of teachers in the religious school (Hawzah) of Qum released a statement describing the deceased as one of the Mujahedeen leaders who dedicated his life for fighting arrogance and Zionism.

In the statement, the association assured that Sayyed Fadlallah is a proactive in jihad and in confronting enemies of Islam, especially the Zionist entity and America, noting that he stood firm in his honorable stances until the last moment in his life, where he was always the spiritual guide to the heroes of the Islamic resistance in Lebanon.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manoshaher Mottaki also sent his condolence letters for Lebanese officials and figures, including Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Foreign Minister Ali Shami, son of the departed, Sayyed Ali Fadlallah, expressing his condolences to the Lebanese government and people, and Sayyed Fadlallah's family.

The Iranian ambassador in Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokon Abadi for his part assured that the loss of Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah is not only a loss for Lebanon or Iran, but is a loss for the entire world, due to the big efforts Sayyed Fadlallah did to approximate people from each other. Moreover, Abadi added that nobody could forget his continuous support for right causes, including the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance, and his support to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"On behalf of head of the Islamic Republic of Iran's leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad I lament the loss of Sayyed Fadlallah," he said.
