Despite all western sanctions imposed on Iran over its nuclear program, Turkey vowed to continue on its joint project with Iran, said Turkish Industry and Trade Minister Nihat Ergun.

According to Reuters, The Turkish Minister said, "If the preference of the private sector is to sell these (petroleum) products to Iran, we will help them", he also added, "There is no demand for Turkey to halt the trade of these products with Iran".

Earlier in August, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said his country would support exporting gasoline to Iran despite US imposed sanction on the Iranian nuclear program.

The Turkish Energy Minister said that the joint Turkish-Iranian plans for constructing a power plant took take part, where both countries are given enough capacities to enhance their own markets.

Turkey and Iran have established a gas pipeline in order to be used to supply European gas markets, in addition to Turkey's demands.
