China on $1 Billion Investment in Iran

According to Mehr News Agency, The National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NIPC) and a Chinese consortium are undergoing talks in which they agree that China would be investing $1 Billion in Iranian petrochemical projects.

This is considered to be one of a kind when it comes to Chinese investments in petrochemical industries on Iranian territories.

As petrochemical industries in Iran are witnessing their climax, many countries are holding negotiations with Iran for further petrochemical developments.

During the Fifth National Development Plan, almost sixty-one petrochemical projects will be constructed in Iran for a total of $43 billion as funds, were already 28 of those projects have been signed for implementation.

Iran and China are now considered to be trade partners, where they have developed their relations, managing cooperation in many aspects including energy.
