Expert in Iranian Affairs Moussawi: Nejad’s Visit, A Wedding to Lebanon, Funeral to Zionists

Expert and researcher in Iranian affairs Sayyed Amir Moussawi asserted that the visit of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Lebanon assures support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Lebanese people, its government and the Lebanese stance before international challenges and pressures.

Moussawi highlighted that Nejad's visit focuses on the services sectors of Lebanon, whether the electricity, water, infrastructure, transportation, communications, irrigation or other.

According to Moussawi, focus on these sectors comes as they were neglected during the past years due to political tension and regional conflicts.
In an interview with Al Intiqad, Moussawi assured that Nejad's visit to Lebanon in first place is to take care of the people's needs in the different regions, whether in the South, the North or elsewhere.

40 specialized personals accompany President Nejad in his visit. Those are specialized in the different sectors whether industry, architecture, commerce, agriculture. Moussawi pointed out there will be a plan to discuss the electricity, power, oil, and gas issues in order to divide the work in these sectors over the coming five years.

As for the issue of equipping the army, Moussawi emphasized that Iran is ready to recruit its military defense capabilities and provide the Lebanese army with all what it needs, particularly anti-missile shields, and planes. He added that Iran will provide Lebanon with all it needs to protect its land, and this is the least that Iran can present to the Lebanese army as appreciation to its confrontation and resistance to the Zionist enemy.
Expert in Iranian Affairs Moussawi noted that the Visit of President Nejad resembles a "wedding" to the Lebanese people and a "funeral" to the Zionists, its supporters, and all those who target Lebanon and its sovereignty, besieged Palestine and our people in the Gaza Strip, hoping this visit would bear its fruits and benefit the Lebanese-Iranian relations.
