Berri Praises Nejad, Iranian President Thanks Him In Return

Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri received Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the Rafiq Hariri International airport. Upon arrival to the VIP lounge, Berri told Nejad "Before your arrival, I said your arrival is very important, but it has become even more important owing to our enemies, and sometimes enemies serve more than friends."

Berri addressed the Iranian President saying "Your Excellency, you have occupied the world and the people in Lebanon since the declaration of your visit. Welcome and Lebanon, All Lebanon is eager to meet you, particularly the South waits to quench the thirst of longing to meet you."

In his turn, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad thanked Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri for his warm welcoming. He said "Today is another day to me, especially that we express our pride. We are at the service of our dear brothers in Lebanon." 

President Nejad added "We have a Farsi proverb that means the enemy becomes of benefit if Allah wanted so, and that enemies lonely when they see friends gathered."
