Iranian President Mahmoud Ahnmadinejad called on the West to drop support for the Zionist entity on Sunday. He assured that his visit to Lebanon troubled all the equations in the Middle East and the international medium, stressing that the message he delivered to the Lebanese during his historic visit is that the Iranian people will always defend the Lebanese and support them.

In a speech in Ardebil in north-western Iran, carried live by the news network Khabar, Ahmadinejad said "Grounds are being prepared for the Zionist regime [Israel] to go to hell soon and any country supporting this regime will join it on its trip to hell as well.".

Ahmadinejad voiced his support to what he called Lebanon's resistance of Israeli aggression.

Moreover, the Iranian embassy in Lebanon issued a statement saying that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was pleased by the warm reception he received from the Lebanese leaders and people alike during what was being dubbed as a historic visit to the country.

He thanked President Michel Suleiman, PM Saad Hariri, House Speaker Nabih Berri, and Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

On the issue of Iran's peaceful nuclear program, Ahmadinejad said that "holding talks with Iran is the best choice for you (international community). You have no other option. All the other ways are closed. You know the fact very well," he said on Sunday, according to a PressTV report.

The Iranian president added, "They thought they can weaken the Iranian nation through imposing sanctions and posing threats, but Iranians have shown integrity, convergence and strength," PressTV reported.

"The Iranian nation will not give up an iota of its international rights," Ahmadinejad stressed.
