Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rokon Abadi lifted the cover off an Iranian-Saudi, and an Iranian-Arab attempt to restore the calm situation in Lebanon.

In this context, Rokon Abadi also reminded that the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad held a group of calls with Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, and Syrian President Bashar Assad before visiting Lebanon.

Iranian Ambassador also added that Ahmadinejad also contacted the officials after his visit, where he spread hopes that Lebanon will be witnessing positive effects of the Iranian-Arab efforts.

After meeting with Head of the Islamic Shiite Higher Council, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, Ghadanfar Rokon Abadi, referred that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ongoing its understanding memorandums and agreements which were mutually signed by President Ahmadinejad and Lebanese President Michel Suleiman.

The memorandums and agreements are mainly concerned with the issues of water, fuel, and energy in Lebanon, aspects which Rokon Abadi hopes the Lebanese people would witness a change on this level.

On another hand, Iranian Ambassador and Sheikh Qabalan discussed during their meeting Iranian President's visit to Lebanon and meetings he held with Lebanese officials, stressing on Iran's support to Lebanon's unity and resistance.
