Larijani Heads to Damascus to Participate in APA

Iranian Speaker of Parliament Ali Larijani will head towards Syria on Sunday to in the four-day Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) Conference entitled, "The Role of the Asian Parliaments in Achieving Security, Stabilization and Peace in the Middle East Region".
An Iranian parliamentary delegation has already arrived in Damascus Saturday to take part in the event.
According IRNA news agency, the APA Conference will be attended by 41 representatives from different Asian countries, where they will hold discussions like the Palestinian issue, friendship declarations, anti-corruptions campaigns, in addition to means of enhancing cooperation between Asian parliaments and governments.
Energy conditions, political issues, social and environmental concerns will also take part in the discussions of the conference.
Aside of the official parliamentary and governmental delegations, seventeen international organizations will be attending the conference as observers.
