Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Wahidi confirmed that Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen's latest threats against Iran, are "baseless".
Mullen had previously claimed that Iran is trying to build a nuclear bomb, saying that Iran represents a threat to its neighboring countries, adding that the US is "very ready" to take action if Iran was to make any move.
In an interview with Fars news agency, Iranian Defense Minister noted that the US threats are "baseless and shaky".
"Part of the remarks by the chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff have been made in a move to find a new arms market to sell the weapons that they have in the region", Minister Wahidi told the agency.
On another level, Minister Ahmad Wahidi referred to the Wikileaks, stressing that the website reports aim at sowing conflict in the region.
