Larijani Expresses Iran Strong Support to Hizbullah, Hamas

Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has said that Iran will strongly and openly support Hizbullah and Hamas in their resistance against occupiers and arrogant powers.

"It is Iran's policy to fight against the global arrogance and support the oppressed, so we say openly that we back Hezbollah and Hamas," Larijani insisted on Tuesday.

Campaigning against the arrogant powers and also resistance against the United States and the Zionist regime are the principles of the Islamic Revolution, he said according to the Tehran Times.

Larijani also pointed to Iran's military and scientific achievements, saying, "We don't hide anything, we have made significant achievements in manufacturing missiles and we should continue this path."

The nuclear program is also one of the most strategic plans of the country, he stated.

Larijani also highlighted the role of people in defending the Islamic system in the face of enemies' plots.

"By close monitoring of the international developments, one will realize that participation of people fosters solidarity and foils the plots hatched by the enemies of the revolution," he said. The senior lawmaker added Iran and enemies are at odds over various issues like the nuclear issue, and it has encouraged people to support the Islamic system.
