Salehi Calls on Lebanese Leaders to Block Way Before Enemies, Stresses Importance of Vigilance, Solidarity

The Islamic Republic of Iran has invited the Lebanese political groups to maintain vigilance and solidarity.

In a communiqué, Acting Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi said that it is expected of the Lebanese groups and organizations to maintain vigilance and unity; to not allow the ill-wishers to cause discord among them; and to prudently pass through this sensitive phase.

Acting FM also announced regional countries' support for Syrian-Saudi Arabian joint plan and pointed out that this joint plan was appropriate and could have helped solve the current situation in Lebanon. But, with the interference of the currents and countries, which are ill-wishers, this plan faced a deadlock.

Salehi expressed hope that the officials and leaders of Lebanese political groups and establishments would be prudent and would not allow the meddlers to take advantage of the current domestic situation in Lebanon.
