Assad Calls Suleiman, Confirms Syria’s Concerns to Maintain Lebanese Stability, Unity

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman received a phone call from his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad, through which both sides discussed latest developments on the Lebanese level.

Official sources informed As-Safir daily that President Assad's call came in the framework of constant talks between the Lebanese and Syrian leaderships.

Assad confirmed Syria's concerns to help maintain Lebanese stability and unity, stressing that the Lebanese people should resort to their own will in tackling their internal problems.

President Bashar Assad affirmed his country's readiness to help Lebanon whenever the Lebanese ask for help.
