MP Fatoush Names Miqati for PM after Connelly’s Pressures Not to

After the US Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly's last week visit to Zahleh to meet MP Nicolas Fatoush, in order to pressure him into not nominating the opposition's candidate for premiership, Fatoush clearly declared he names Najib Miqati for this position.

Fatoush said that as long as national peace is more important than any law and all interests, and in order to maintain democracy in the country, he chooses to name Miqati for the premiership.
