Miqati Calls Upon People of Tripoli to Maintain Self Restrain, Avoid Clashes

As a representative of their area, Najib Miqati called upon the people of Tripoli to maintain self restrain, in addition to avoid any clash with any side.

After his meeting with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman in the Baabda Palace, as he headed the Solidarity Bloc part of the parliamentary consultations, Miqati reassured his stance to present help and solidarity to everyone.

Najib Miqati condemned riots taking place in Tripoli, despite whether they were intentional or spontaneous.

Miqati stated that no matter what happened, former PM Saad Hariri will remain to be a brother and friend, stressing, "Especially that we are one family and the people of one sect that cannot be dismantled".

Miqati addressed the people of Tripoli saying that part of what motivated him into taking part in this "adventure", is to have Tripoli on the political map in Lebanon, saying that he knows their concerns regarding contributing in their region's development.

After claims that he is a Hizbullah candidate, Miqati confirmed that he is conducting a "rescuing operation".
