The Union of Arab Photographers Condemns Attacks on Media Photographers in “Day of Rage”

The Union of Arab Photographers confirmed the attacks on media photographers, who were doing their professional duty during the riots witnessed in Lebanon in the "Day of Rage" urged by the Future Movement.

The Media official of the Union's office in Lebanon, Mahmoud Al Zayyat, was also subject to the attacks while he was doing his duty in Saida city.

In a statement issued, the Union of Arab Photographers called upon "All security and military firms in Lebanon to pursue all those responsible of these attacks, especially that they targeted co-photographers who where only performing their duty".

The Union also urged official authorities to adopt all measures that would prevent the repetition of similar practiced attacks.
