The UN Special Coordinator in Lebanon Michael Williams hoped a new government to be formed in Lebanon, which would serve all the Lebanese people's interests.

In this context, Williams said, "The UN expects the new government to commit to all international commitments".

In another context, Michael Williams referred that Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri brought up the issue of Lebanese maritime borders, hoping that the US would positively cooperate with the Lebanese requests in this issue.

On the same level, according to Williams, Berri stressed that there should be a UN initiative to interact with the Lebanese request to demarcate the Lebanese maritime borders.

Lebanese Speaker affirmed that the resigned Foreign Minister Ali Shami was requested to give required instructions to the Lebanese envoy to the UN, in order to confirm this issue with the UN Secretary General in light of Lebanon's letter filed to the UN.

Berri warned against dangers that could result of the "Israeli" assaults against the Lebanese sovereignty and fuel resources.

On his part, after meeting with Speaker Berri, Head of the Popular Nasserite Organization, Osama Saad, urged the quick formation of the new government so it would tackle the huge developments occurring in the region.

Saad requested this government to be strong and firm, and to follow a reform path on all political, economic and social levels.

Osama called for a government that would hold responsibility in these circumstances, especially regarding the national issues, stressing that the army, people, resistance equation should be represented in a serious defense policy in confronting the "Israeli" threats.
