Mikati: Receiving March 14 Coalition Aims at Forming Government that Includes Everyone
Local Editor
Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati considered his task as "difficult but not impossible," noting that the government will be formed sooner or later. He assured that his relation with the Lebanese President Michel Suleiman is comfortable.
In a statement to An-Nahar newspaper, PM-designate Mikati said "Receiving some March 14 coalition members (Head of the phalanges party Amin Jemayel, Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, as well as caretaker government Labor minister Boutros Harb) does not aim at penetrating these forces, it rather aims at putting utmost efforts to form a government that includes everyone."
In this context, Mikati said "I wish for the best relation with the caretaker (outgoing) PM Saad Hariri and I will not be a cause for a national or sectarian division. He added "There is no personal disagreement between us (Hariri and me), and we agree on patriotic stances."
