March 8 Majority to Al-Akhbar: Government Formation Surpassed Major Hurdles

Al-Akhbar daily newspaper mentioned that the March 8 Majority summarized the consultations over the government's formation, saying that the serious journey into forming that government started when the March 14 coalition decided not to participate in the new government.

The daily reported, according to a March 8 high ranked official, that the journey into forming the government has overcame many hurdles.

The source affirmed that PM designate Najib Miqati is now aware of all participating forces' requests, referring that he started his quest into assigning the coordinated of the government.

The same official stated to Al-Akhbar that the general atmosphere reveals the government will be formed with 24 ministers, yet pointed out that unless other requests from other political sides were required, then the ministers will be 30.

In this context, the source added that all major hurdles have been surpassed, since they were subject to discussion and solution.
