Local Editor
A Local poll conducted by the Beirut Center for Research and Information, between January 28 and February 1, revealed that the majority of the Lebanese people support the designation of Najib Miqati for Premiership.
The poll was conducted on some 800 individuals, taking into consideration the sectarian distribution in the Lebanese regions, and resulted in 74.8% supporting PM Miqati.
In this context, As-Safir daily referred that 50% of the supporting team are Sunnis, stating that this percentage reveals that the Sunni team is starting to accept the idea of having a Sunni leader from the outside of the Future Movement.
