President Suleiman: Consultations on Issuance of New Government Formation Decrees Continue

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman confirmed that developments witnessed in Lebanon, on the governmental level are held in a democratic form.

Michel Suleiman stressed that the consultations on issuing the decrees of the formation of the new government continue in accordance with PM designate Najib Miqati.

Concerning the current Arab situation, after receiving a delegation from the Kuwaiti Journalists Organization, President Suleiman referred that authorities should adopt democracy and social justice at all levels through parliamentary, municipal and other fair elections.

Lebanese President also added authorities should provide the participation of all social categories in the authority.

President Suleiman confirmed in this context, that the Lebanese constitution was careful to provide fairness between the Christians and Muslims without taking into consideration the population, adding that democratic life cannot continue without this equation.

Upon question, Suleiman referred that the main point of the Arab Summit to be held in Iraq should be about the Arab Solidarity and the Palestinian conciliation, hoping that by that time, the situation would be more stable.
