Miqati Receives Hizbullah SG’s, Speaker Berri’s Political Assistants, Sources Exclude Government Formation this Week
Local Editor
In an interview with An-Nahar newspaper, sources close to PM designate Najib Miqati believed that some of what was said in the March 14 coalition gathering in the Biel auditorium for the memory of former PM Rafiq Hariri's assassination, hold positive signs that come in accordance with Miqati's positive perspectives.
Sources added that PM Miqati hopes these positive signs are translated by a will to take part in the government which he intends to have all political forces participate in it, in order to have a national partnership government.
In the same context, Al-Akhbar newspaper stated, according to sources close to Miqati, that the door is still open for the participation of the March 14 in the government. The sources believed that Hariri did not declare his refusal to participate in the government to be formed.
On another hand, An-Nahar newspaper reported that PM Najib Miqati received Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's Political Assistant Hussein Khalil, and Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri's Political Assistant MP Ali Hassan Khalil.
Well informed sources excluded that the government will not be formed this week, because consultations are in progress, and still need some discussing.
