Supreme Leader Praises Egyptian People’s Revolution, Says US Trying to Derail It

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei warned from the Unites States has installed schemes in order to erase the achievements of the Egyptian revolution, stressing that the firm presence of the people and their will with "make all these plots fall flat".

In a speech he delivered on Wednesday in the Iranian province of East Azarbijan in Tehran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei shed the light on the recent Egyptian revolution which led to the collapse of the US-ally Hosni Mubarak's regime, stressing that the US seeks to derail what the Egyptians have achieved.

His Eminence noted, "Of course, the US is trying to derail the Egyptian people's move to convince them to return home with a number of minor achievements".

"But, these tricks and traps are unlikely to yield a result in the face of a nation which has been awakened and has come to know its power and influence", Ayatollah Khamenei further assured.

The Islamic Revolution Leader reaffirmed that all political, military and economic attempts by the bullying powers become fruitless in presence of the people's active scenes.

On the same level, Sayyed Ali Khamenei pointed out that the Iranian nation's determination has played an inspiring role in the recent Islamic regional awakening.
