Speaker Berri: Through Constitutional Method in 48 Hours, We Achieved What Couldn’t be Achieved in 15 Months

According to visitors of Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, the latter said that it is normal that the majority team switches to another, adding that this is not the first time in occurs in Lebanon.

In this context, Speaker Berri referred to the period when the premiership was transferred between former PMs Rafiq Hariri and Salim Huss, clarifying that there is no excuse for the March 14th concerns that the March 8 coalition now represent the majority team.

Speaker Berri also added that previously, the March 8 team held a civilized peaceful sit-in for 15 months, demanding the resignation of the Siniora government back then, but former PM Foad Siniora did not leave office.

Nabih Berri affirmed that in 48 hours, they [March 8] were able to achieve, in a constitutional method, what they weren't able to within 15 months, in reference to the collapse of the Hariri government after the March 8 Minister resigned from the government.
