Speaker Berri: Mikati Not to Hesitate in Announcing Government Formation When Complete

Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri denied rumors that the delay in government formation relies on reasons related to the March 14 camp festival, or the indictment's issuance.

In this context, in an interview with As-Safir newspaper, Berri stated that what is being said is not accurate, stressing that MP-designate will not hesitate to announce his government formation by the time is it complete, even if it were on the eve of March 14.

According to An-Nahar daily, Speaker Berri's visitors referred that he [Berri] questioned the low pace in the Mikati government formation as long as the nominated names are of one team, and don't disagree on many political issues.

The sources added that Speaker Berri seems to be optimistic regarding Mikati's method in government formation, referring he does not prefer any sign of dispute over ministerial portfolios.
