MP Fares: Resistance is the Only Way to Achieve Freedom, Sovereignty

Syrian Social Nationalist Party Parliamentary Bloc MP Marwan Fares confirmed that the resistance arms are an honor to the whole nation.
Addressing those calling for the disarmament of the resistance and saying Head of National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt abandoned the March 14 team to follow "Syria", MP Fares said, "MP Jumblatt returned to his first stance with the resistance, which is an honor to the nation and the Arab east".

On another hand, regarding positions stated about a "strategy for the new Middle East", Fares stated, "We started the construction of a new Middle East in Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen and Bahrain. It's a new Middle East we want is different than the one they [the West] wanted".
Fares stated that the Middle East his team wants is the path of resistance, freedom, sovereignty, independence, and Arab identity.

On the government level, MP Marwan Fares stated that a technocratic government is of no use or value.
Furthermore, Fares affirmed that the Lebanese seek men in power who we able of meeting a nonsectarian government, which on its part seeks the liberty and sovereignty of Lebanon, and enmity with "Israel".

In this context, Syrian Social Nationalist Party Bloc MP pointed out that if the sectarianism was canceled since 1932, Lebanon wouldn't have reached its current status, referring to article 95 in the Lebanese constitution, which urges the higher committee to cancel sectarianism.

MP Marwan Fares praised Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's speech, in which called upon the resistant fighters to enter the Galilee in case of any aggression or if war was imposed on Lebanon with the "Israeli" enemy.

On this level, Fares considered Sayyed Nasrallah's speech represented the collapse of the "Jewish state" dream, which states that they should occupy and take over all territories from the Euphrates River to the Nile.

Fares stated the resistance is the only way towards freedom and sovereignty, in addition to those of Palestine. MP Fares believed that the unity between all Palestinian parties at this delicate stage is an importance, in what comes in accordance with the interests of all the Palestinians, and as a beginning to return to their homeland.
