Ehud Barak: Iron Dome Not a 100% Solution
Local Editor
"Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak visit on Thursday the site, in which the first Iron Dome anti-missile defense system battery was installed in Beersheba (Bir Sabeh).
On this level, according to Zionist daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Barak admitted that the system cannot provide perfect protection from rockets, but he promised that in the coming years, more batteries will be deployed.
During his site tour, Zionist War Minister said, "Today the system commences an operational test, which is an extraordinary achievement by "Israeli" technology and "Israel's" Air Force", noting that the Iron Dome battery was the first to intercept civilian-targeting rockets.
"It's not a 100% solution. It would take us several years to obtain additional batteries", Ehud Barak said, as he admitted the battery is not a perfect solution to Gaza rocket fire.
"The face of war is changing. In the past, the enemy didn't have the option of trying to hurt civilians. This is now the reality both during war and routine", the "Israeli" War Minister stated.
He further estimated that in the next 10 years, some additional anti-missile systems will be operation; systems such as "Magic Wand" and "Super Arrow".
