Shoura Council Calls for Urgent Meeting on Massacres in the Region
Local Editor
Human Rights Committee member of the Islamic Shoura Council in Iran Mohammad Karmi called for two urgent meetings to discuss the humanitarian massacres taking place in the countries of the region. He assured that the Human Rights Committee will soon present a complaint at the UN demanding an urgent meeting to discuss the massacres taking place in Yemen, Bahrain, and Libya.
In a statement to Mehr news agency, Karmi criticized the silence of international community towards the massacres in the region as well as towards the blatant violations of human rights executed by the Saudi and Bahraini authorities. He further assured that the Western governments aim at diverting the Islamic awakening in such a way that serves its interests.
