On the second day of The Great Prophet 6 military drills, the Islamic Republic of Iran has successfully launched 14 surface-to-surface missiles.

Five Shahab missiles, including four medium-range and one long-range, as well as 9 Zelzal missiles were successfully launched Tuesday morning.

The missiles included Zelzal, Shahab-1, Shahab-2 and Shahab-3.
On the first day of the exercises, Iran unveiled underground missile silos and fired Fateh-110 missile.

The spokesman for The Great Prophet 6 drills General Asghar Qelich-Khani said the silos are part of the swift reaction units of Iran's missile forces.
"The silos are a part of the swift reaction unit of the missile brigade; missiles are stored vertically, ready to be launched against pre-determined targets," Qelich-Khani said Monday.

"Measuring the degree of preparedness of IRGC's military units, exercising new tactics, presence of young soldiers alongside experienced personnel of IRGC and extensive usage of advanced equipment are among other objectives of Great Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Drills," the official said.
Iran says the Great Prophet 6 maneuver has completely defensive objectives and will be staged with the message of "peace and friendship."
