Supreme Leader Affirms Islamic Revolution Influenced Regional Awakening, Says IRGC Ready for Modern War

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Sayyed Ali Khamenei met with commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Monday, calling upon all rival parties to refrain from controversy, IRNA news agency reported.
His Eminence Sayyed Ali Khamenei stated that the IRGC body is not only for safeguarding the Islamic Revolution, however "it has been nurtured in a way to move forwards to progress itself and prepare the ground for progress of the entire system".
In this context, the Supreme Leader affirmed that the dynamic nature of the IRGC made this body grow, for now, the IRGC soldiers have to confront the enemies in wars different from the conventional war witnessed when the IRGC was established by late Imam Khomeini.
"The time for conventional war is over and the modern war has focused on sensitive issues mainly on the domain of software", His Eminence clarified.
Sayyed Ali Khamenei further addressed the IRGC soldiers, advising them to pave their own path through insight and logical principles, in order to avoid any unnecessary measures that would prevent them from achieving their goals.
On the level of the Islamic Awakening, Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that the US and the Zionist entity are trying their best to deny that the ongoing uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa have an Islamic identity.
His Eminence reiterated that the current awakening movements in the Middle East and North Africa have been inspired by the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
