Palmer Report on Turkish Ship Massacre Issued, “Israel” Unlikely to Apologize for Crime
Local Editor
Negotiations between Turkey and the Zionist entity, regarding their current debate on the Turkish Mavi-Marmara ship, reached a dead end after the US mediation failed.
A coming UN report is expected to be issued on Thursday by the Palmer International Commission, which was established by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in order to investigate the details of the "Israeli" massacre which occurred on 31 May, 2010 against the Turkish-led Freedom Flotilla 2.
In this context, "Israel" in unlikely to present any apology to Turkey, for "Israeli" Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman stated on Wednesday that he does not believe his entity should present any official apology to Turkey, "Israeli" daily Yadioth Ahronoth reported.
"There are some things I'm willing to discuss and some things I'm not willing to discuss", Lieberman indicated, adding that he will not allow an apology that would harm "Israel's" national dignity and humiliate the "Israeli" soldiers.
Furthermore, "Israeli" sources stressed that Lieberman's remarks confirm the Zionist entity's awareness of the Palmer report's content, which claims that the "Israeli" blockade on the Gaza Strip is legal.
However, the Palmer report also criticizes the "Israeli" enemy's use of excessive force against protesters, and further demands "Israel" to present an official apology to the Turkish government.
Referring to the Palmer report clause stating that the "Israeli" blockade on the Gaza Strip is legal, a Turkish source affirmed that Turkey refused to sign the UN-founded report, Agence France Presse (AFP) reported.
Meanwhile, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmad Davutoglu confirmed Wednesday his country's demands that "Israeli" apologizes and pays compensations for the victims. The "Israelis" took advantage of the Turkish stance and claimed it is stalling the Palmer report issuance because it is not agreeable for it [Turkey].
