Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called upon the British government to reconsider its diplomatic behavior towards the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In an interview with Iranian Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Thursday, Minister Salehi stated, "The British government is well aware of Iran's role in the Middle East; and therefore, in order to establish ties with Tehran, it has no option but to reconsider its behavior toward the Islamic Republic".

Furthermore, Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed that the relations between Tehran and London are not in satisfactory conditions. He also clarified to that the "unacceptable and unjustified" behaviors of the British official are what hold back the developments of the Tehran-London ties.

On the level of ties, Minister Salehi referred to the case of the Iranian national who is arrested in the UK, saying that if the UK lifted the restrictions on Tajik, then this could be a positive step in reconsidering its diplomatic relations with Iran.

Diplomatic Tied between Iran and Britain have been deteriorating due to the British anti-Iran policies practices. Iran has for many times considered breaking off any relations with Britain due to its administration's interfering and undiplomatic approach towards Tehran.
