The Fifth International Conference on the Palestinian Intifada is set to start in Tehran, indicating Iran's unshakable support for the Palestinian cause.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Head of Iran's Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said on Friday that the conference would strengthen support for the Palestinian cause.

According to IRNA news, he added that the intifada conference would complement the Islamic Awakening conference which was held on September 17 and 18 in Tehran and which was attended by 700 scholars from 80 countries.

The intifada conference this year has chosen "Palestine, Homeland of Palestinians" as its motto to emphasize that Palestine in the only homeland of Palestinians.
