As US officials admitted a distressing intelligence defeat in Lebanon, "Israeli" circles are busy about the great strike that they received with their American ally.

"Haaretz" "Israeli" newspaper reported Thursday that US Congressman Mike Rogers, a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, arrived recently in Beirut to probe the CIA agent's capture affair.

Quoting the French intelligence newsletter "Intelligence Online", the "Israeli" paper indicates that "all CIA officers operating the Beirut station were transferred to Cyprus for security reasons and for further investigations."

Earlier this week, US officials admitted that CIA was forced to curtail its spying in Lebanon, after the resistance succeeded in uncovering and arresting several CIA informants in Beirut this year.
