Three people were killed on Thursday in an attack by the Yemeni regime security forces in the capital Sanaa.

The US-backed regime ordered its forces to fire at anti-government protesters who took to the streets in the southern city of Taizz to call against the deal signed by President Ali Abdallah Saleh, which grants him immunity from prosecution in return for quitting power.
The power transfer deal was brokered by the Gulf Cooperation Council in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Wednesday.

Under the deal, the Yemeni tyrant will transfer his powers to Vice President Abdrabuh Mansour Hadi, who is expected to form a national unity government, and then call for early presidential elections within a 90-day period. Until then, Saleh will remain an honorary president.

This step in return triggered a popular rejection of any agreement that grants Saleh immunity from responsibility for all the abuses his regime has committed against the nation over the years of his tyrant rule.
