Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast stated that the US's groundless accusations against Iran stem from Washington's anger over its regular failures in the Middle East.

"The recent US accusations against Iran are inappropriate political conduct and such immortalities in the US foreign policy are rooted in the fact that Washington has become infuriated by the defeats inflicted on it in the Middle East", Mehmanparast told IRNA on Thursday.

He also added that the US is enraged because its interests have been restricted, and they are forced to leave the region. Mehmanparast iterated that they regard the wave of the Islamic Awakening as a wave of protesting the US support for dictators.
Furthermore, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman dismissed the recent US claims that Iran is a source of "primary money laundering concern", also stressed that various economic and international organizations are aware of Tehran's effective measures to counter the issue.

Moreover, he stressed that Iran is not in the list of countries accused of being involved in money laundering. "The Americans think they can exert pressure on Iran's banking system by making the money laundering accusations", he indicated.
He emphasized that the Iranian officials will give a legal response to any accusation against the Iranian people.
