Tehran Arrests 12 CIA Agents Affiliated With Mossad to Target Iran
According to the Iranian Republic News Agency (IRNA), senior Iranian Parliamentary officials announced that their country has arrested 12 agents of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
In this context, Head of Iranian Parliament's Committee of Foreign Policy and National Security, Parwiz Sorouri, stated that the agents arrested were operating in coordination with the "Israeli" Mossad and other regional agencies, targeting the Iranian military and nuclear program.
"The US and Zionist regime's espionage apparatuses were trying to damage Iran both from inside and outside with a heavy blow, using regional intelligence services", Sorouri indicated on Wednesday.
He added that fortunately, with swift reaction by the Iranian intelligence department, the actions failed to bear fruit.
So far, the Iranian officials haven't yet declared the nationalities of the agents, or the atmosphere of their arrests.
This intelligence announcement following Hizbullah's unraveling of CIA networks in Lebanon. This surely represents a "major blow" for the US intelligence agency.
