Turkish "Jafarion" (Shia) commemorated the day of Ashura in the field of Halcala in Istanbul in the presence of the biggest opposition - Republican People's Party Chairman, Kamal Kchdaraoglu ,as well as representatives of the ruling party and other political parties.

The ceremony was also attended by the representative of the Supreme Leader Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Sayyed Mustapha al-Morsali.

Tens of thousands of Imam Hussein followers thronged the place.

Carrying pictures and posters, waving with back banners they flew up from early morning on foot and in cars from various regions of Istanbul.
 
The Turkish glorified Karbala in a sad scene that shed light on some aspects of revolution in which blood conquered the sword, a revolution in which the oppressed won the oppressor.
