Mehmanparast: Islamic Awakening Pressured Western Presence in ME
In light of the recent tension escalation between Iran and Britain, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast stated that the US and its Western allies are currently suffering major political problems.
"Western powers are pursuing scenarios to incite Iranophobia with the objective of averting pressure exerted by regional nations and the consequences of Islamic Awakening," Mehmanparast added.
In his weekly briefing to reporters on Tuesday, Spokesman Mehmanparast indicated, "The wave of Islamic Awakening is exerting mounting pressure on Western powers in the Middle East and North Africa. They were forced to leave the sensitive region."
Also, he emphasized that the western Iranophobia policy claims that Iran is not committed to international regulations, reaffirming that Iran remains committed to international law and protecting foreign diplomats.
Regarding the recent UK-Iran diplomatic escalations, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman called upon all Iranians who were irritated by the British government's hostile measures against Iran, to exercise patience.
"Iran is a lawful country, and the wise Iranian nation will not allow any country to violate its interests", Mehmanparast reiterated.
Moreover, he warned western countries, which are posing threats on Iran, that his country will respond firmly through legal channels.
