Barak: US Committed to “Israel’s” Security More Than Ever Before
"Israeli" War Minister Ehud Barak said on Tuesday that "the US stands besides "Israel" in terms of its security more than ever before," and that "both countries agree that everything should be done to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon."
Barak's statements came a day after US Secretary of War Leon Panetta said that Iran will have a nuclear weapon within one year, if not less.
Panetta said "Israel's" concern for a nuclear Iran is a "common concern" of the US, and that Washington would not rule out a military attack.
"The United States does not want Iran to develop a nuclear weapon. That's a red line for us and that's a red line, obviously, for the "Israelis"," he told CBS.
This while the "Israeli" entity owns tens of nuclear warheads and is not a signatory of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
