Over a dozen of Bahraini people were injured after the Saudi-backed regime forces attacked anti-regime protesters in many cities across the country.

Press TV reported that on Friday, Bahraini forces fired tear gas canisters at protesters in the capital Manama, who were demanding the departure of al-Khalifa tyrant rulers.
Mass protests also took place in the streets of Sitra, Sanabis, al-Dair and Baih Saleh, defying the ongoing crackdown. Moreover, the forces raided the headquarters of al-Wefaq opposition party in Manama, in response to the opposition's challenging of the government's ban of protests.

The Bahraini regime claims that protests are blocking traffic and endangering the lives of people, and therefore they should be banned.

On her part, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay had urged on Wednesday the Bahraini regime to end the suppressive assaults and release the prisoners jailed for supporting anti-regime protests.
