Head of the Arab League Observer's Mission to Syria the Sudanese General Mohamed Mustapha al-Dabi denied one of the observer's remarks regarding "the presence of Syrian authorities' snipers in the southern city of Dara."

Commenting on the video tape posted on YouTube which shows one observer speaking of the presence of snipers, al-Dabi clarified that "the statement was misunderstood."

"The observer confirmed that he will talk about snipers' presence if he sees one with his own eyes," he added.

The Arab League has underlined that the task of observers is limited to "monitoring, recording and documentation," noting that "the assessment of the situation in Syria is to be determined by the final report of the mission."

Meanwhile, the so-called Syrian opposition started targeting the Sudanese military Intelligence officer as he isn't surrendering to their calls of false;y accusing the Syrian authorities of killing citizens.

The general clearly announced that "the Syrian authorities were so far cooperating with the mission," describing his visit to Homs as "good and that the situation is reassuring."
