Imam Khamenei: Islamic Awakening to Change Islamic Nation’s Course
The International Congress of Poetry of Islamic Awakening was held with participation of 77 poets from Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Bahrain, Lebanon, Sudan, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iran.
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that the Islamic Awakening trend is to change the course of the history for the Islamic nation.
In a meeting with participants in the International Congress of the Poetry of the Islamic Awakening Monday, the Supreme Leader said "the trend of the Islamic movement will continue based on the Almighty's will."
Ayatollah Khamenei called "the ongoing movement a genuine, Islamic awakening process brought about after years of insightful political, social experiences and profound understanding on the part of the Arab nations."
Urging the Muslim poets to shoulder their responsibility in this immense and decisive development, Imam Khamenei further highlighted the need for Islamic unity warning that "extensive efforts are taking place to sow discord among Muslims with the objective of stopping the glorious Islamic Awakening movement."
"Muslim poets are expected to play a role in the great Islamic Awakening process through making instructive and inspirational works," His Eminence called.
