Moussawi Receives UN Special Coordinator, Discusses Latest Developments
Hizbullah International Relations Official Ammar Moussawi received on Monday the UN Secretary General Special Coordinator for Lebanon Mr. Derek Plumbly, in a first introducing meeting to discuss the latest developments on the local and regional arenas.
Also, both sides highlighted the report that will be submitted by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon by the end of the current month, concerning the implementation of resolution 1701.
Moussawi on his part expressed Hizbullah's position regarding the latest developments, confirming that everyone's responsibility requires seeking to maintain internal stability.
Moreover, Moussawi cited the importance of the Lebanese Army's measures implemented, especially on the level of controlling the northern and eastern borders, and preventing arms and armed men's smuggling into the Syrian territories.
