Berri Reiterates Lebanon’s Rights in Maritime Oil Resources

In remarks published Friday in An-Nahar newspaper, the speaker said that the meeting was positive, during which he "confirmed Lebanon's right to preserve its oil [resources]."

Berri also said he confirmed to Hof Lebanon's refusal to give up any amount of oil, which is our right and the right of our coming generations.
On Thursday's meeting, Speaker Berri stressed that Lebanon is committed to the drilling of oil within all of its maritime borders. He said that "Lebanon is determined to invest in its petroleum and gas wealth."
