Mansour: Lebanon not to Participate in ’’Friends of Syria’’

Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour confirmed Tuesday that Lebanon will boycott the so-called "Friends of Syria" conference that is scheduled to be held in Tunisia this week.
In an interview with OTV channel, he stressed that "in harmony with our decision to disassociate Lebanon from the Syrian developments, we will not join the conference in Tunisia."
Clarifying that "Lebanon's stance is taking into consideration the country's best interests," the foreign minister asserted that "Lebanon, which follows the policy of self dissociating from Syrian distanced itself from all decisions taken against Syria, in particular the Arab League's recent decisions that called for the severance of economic relations and diplomacy."
Mansour called those who want to intervene in Syria "to declare explicitly if they want a regime change or any other option."
