Matozof: Russia Adherent to International Legitimacy, No Retreat from Stance on Syria
The latest poll aced the expectations on Vladimir Putin's presidential victory, with the majority of ballots falling in his favor. After Putin's "64%" victory, his spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that "President Putin is ready to start dialogue with opposition forces that encompass constructive stances".
Peskov added that "Putin was, still is, and will always be a pragmatic man in his policies".

Vatislav Matozof: Putin's Victory, Victory for Russia's True Mind
On this level, former Russian Diplomat Vatislav Matozof confirmed in an interview with al-Intiqad Online Newspaper, that Putin's victory in Russia's presidential elections is "a victory for the true mind of Russia; because Putin had enough expertise to head the Russian government".
"Putin filled the position of Prime Minister, and went in the depth of economic cases. What's special about him is that he's able to lead a large, vast state, and hold responsibilities towards the international community", Matozof said.
Putin Believes International Law Hinders US Domination
Moreover, Matozof stressed that the current Russian stance on Syria stems from Putin's stance. "I don't expect any retreat from this position, because any retreat means the fallback of the international legitimacy", Matozof indicated.
Moreover, the former Russian diplomat asserted that "Russia no longer plays the pro-US role, for this role is over long time ago".
"Russia will defend right, justice, and international legitimacy with steadfastness, and it will remain adherent to international law", Matozof added, indicating that "Putin believes international law hinders the spread of US domination in the world, and the international legitimacy is the most powerful weapon in his possession, throughout his era as president".
Russian Trust Putin's Ability to Run Russia's Economy
On another hand, Matozov considered that the 64% victory in the first round is not underrated, and added, "Putin depends on the Russian people's license in his international relations and in building the Russian economy; this choice is fit and right".
"The Russian opposition is not factual and has no popularity", Matozov stressed, believing that "any opposition in any country always accuses the victorious team, in the elections, of forging; and this is normal. However; naturally, no one can forge 64% electoral ballots".
Also, Matozof concluded, "Putin is not hasty in his decisions, and does not tend to make rapid changes, he rather has the notion of gradual changes; and this is one of his major characteristics which played an important role in the Russian people's support for him".
"Most likely, the Russians voted for him because they trust his ability to run the economy", Vatislav Matozof further clarified.
