Chinese Initiative on Syria Rebuffs All Types of Foreign Interference

While Syria is still witnessing an escalating US-led Western campaign against it, Russia and China remain steadfast in their stance with the Syrian regime, defending its right to solve its own problems without any foreign interference.
On this level, China has appeared like a knight with his shining armor to present its "Position on the Political Resolution of the Syrian Issue".

In its initiative, China affirmed that it is closely following up the developments of the Syrian situation, affirming that there won't be any other resolution than political dialogue in a peaceful manner.
The 6-article initiative was a statement through which China called upon all parties of the Syrian conflict to cease all signs of violence in order to attain a calm situation and therefore launch an "inclusive political dialogue".

Moreover, China asserted its support to the UN leading role in coordinating humanitarian relief efforts, however; it also stressed that "parties of the international community should respect the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria, and the right of the Syrian people to independently choose their political system and development path", therefore denouncing foreign interference.
Also, the Chinese initiative strictly rebuffed any approval of armed interference or pushing for "regime change" in the Middle Eastern country.

On his part, Syrian MP Khaled al-Aboud affirmed in an interview with al-intiqad online newspaper that the ""Chinese position paper" is a proposal that expresses the Syrian expectations, not only the Chinese stance".

"It expresses the position of an alliance that includes Syria, Russia, Iran, and China; which is victorious on the regional level and which has defeated the US-European project", the Syrian MP added.
Moreover, al-Aboud indicated that the Chinese do not conduct any move in vagueness, affirming that they are confident their initiative will receive the Syrian regime's and opposition's approval.
