The letter mainly revolved around the standing friendship relations between both country, and China's six-point position on finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis.

In this context, Minister al-Moallem expressed his country's appreciation of the Chinese stance at international gatherings. He also welcomed China's vision, asserting Syria's readiness to cooperate positively with it "being the way to find a solution based on ending violence from any side, facilitating the efforts of the UN in the humanitarian field, cooperating with the UN Secretary-General envoy, calling on all sides for a comprehensive national dialogue and speeding up the reform process in Syria", SANA reported.
On his part, the Chinese envoy iterated that his country rejects any foreign interference in the Syrian domestic affairs, reaffirming that "only the Syrian people can find a solution to the crisis".
Moreover, Huaxin expressed his country's rejection of attempts to exploit the humanitarian situation, in order to interfere in Syria's affairs under any pretext.
